To do this, the following site attempts to enable you, as a father, to become a coach and support source for your breastfeeding partner.
The pages within this site cover several different areas:
- Basic information about breastfeeding mechanics and benefits
- Tips and advice about how to make the most of your role as a father
- Real time help for some of the most common breastfeeding problems encountered within an infant's first months of life
- Links to and information about local and national breastfeeding resources
This site is meant to be used during several different periods:
- Before your baby arrives, so you can learn about how to prepare and what to expect
- After your baby is born, during a breastfeeding problem (if any should occur), as a resource with which you can help your breastfeeding partner overcome her difficulties
- Anytime you are interested in learning more about fatherhood, infant feeding habits or your partner's experience as a breastfeeding mother
