Why does your breastfeeding partner need your help?

Research shows that social support, especially from a significant other, is one of the strongest predictors of breastfeeding duration.

By playing a supporting role in your partners breastfeeding experience you will help her to:

  • Feel less stressed about feeding your infant
  • Feel more confident about her ability to breastfeed
  • Feel like she can effectively resolve any problems that may arise
  • Feel more comfortable with the process of breastfeeding
  • Feel like she has the social support she needs during an exhausting and sometimes difficult period
